MRF - After Effects & Maya Sync
This week, I synced up a 3D scene between After Effects and Maya as a part of the After Effects > Maya > Unreal Engine match move pipeline. The key component used to make this happen is the After Effects & Maya LiveLink Plugin.
Before opening Maya, I first tracked and Keyed out a greenscreen scene from online.
LiveLink Plugin was used to transfer assets from After Effects to Maya
The After Effects footage is exported as an image plane for the 3D tracker Camera in order to see the footage in Maya in sync with the moving 3D camera.
Finally, to test the function of the pipeline, 3D cubes are added to the scene.
