Transmedia Project (Yayuyo AR)
Intro:
Inspired by virtual celebrity and influencers such as Hatsune Miku and @lilmiquela, my colleague Shin and I have been running our own virtual figure social media accounts with the help of several other ITP students over the past weeks based on a virtual character named Yayuyo created by Shin. The goal of my transmedia project for this class is to create some AR video contents for Yayuyo and use it as a way to explore the boundaries between Yayuyo as a virtual character and the real world in a entertaining way.

The videos are made by importing our already made fbx 3D model of Yayuyo first into Mixamo ( https://www.mixamo.com/ ) for animation and then opening the animated model in Adobe Aero, which allows for custom placement and video recording of the model in AR.
Below are the videos created for this project along with captions written from the perspective of Yayuyo.
